today, I am writing this or rather typing this down on my new machine, the ROG GL551JW. It's very good at playing games on High or Ultra. The games I have tried playing on it are World of Tanks, World of Warships and War Thunder. Note that WoT does not support multicore. Also, I will be saving up for GTA V and see if this machine can take control of the game.

Pros:
- The IPS FHD Screen (1920 x 1080)
- 7200 RPM on the 1 TB Storage
- The OS is installed on the 128 GB SSD
- The RAM is 16 GB, enough for multi-tasking
- The build quality of the laptop
- Cooling is very good, it doesn't get very hot on the keyboard and the fan is relatively quiet
- Backlight keyboard
Cons:
- The VRAM on the GTX 960M is only 2 GB
- Power button is a key
- CD ROM is quiet cheap
- Touchpad is also quiet cheap but that's the reason why they gave out a free mouse
- Backlight keyboard doesn't light up before login (though it's fine with me because I almost memorize the keyboard xD)
- Some text are not that crisp or rather they are pixelated. (Maybe I'm doing something wrong?)
Defects:
- The GPU doesn't work on battery. You somehow get dead/random pixels on the game or interface if you are using the GTX 960m on battery. Applications using this might also crash the GPU and get The Blue Screen of Death. (To go around this, just use the Intel HD 4600 when on battery.)
- The FN doesn't work all the time. (I restarted/rebooted the laptop and the FN key works again.)
Processor:
*NOTE: These temperatures are on the inside. The outside temperatures don't feel like going up to 37-40 C though.
Temp before WoT: 56 C
Temp after WoT: 89 C
My old Acer always gets hot up to 95-110 Celsius and they keyboard broke probably because of the heat.
